Master Sergeant (Ret.) LeRoy "Roy" Sells' Obituary
Funeral Service for Master Sergeant (Ret.) LeRoy "Roy" Sells, 75, of Notasulga, Alabama, will be Monday, April 4, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Rod Siggers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Roy passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on February 24, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He loved his family dearly. Roy was a United States Retired Master Sergeant, served in the Vietnam War and worked many years as a TAC Officer with Lyman-Ward Military Academy. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, fixing things, and tinkering.
He is survived by his daughter, Janene Nixon; son, Jason Wirtz; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Brandhorst (Steve); brother, Larry Smith; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sells; mother, Elizabeth J. Wildeboer Smith; stepfather, Earl Smith; son, James LeRoy Sells; sister, Kathy Cosgrove; and brothers, Richard Sells and Allen Smith.
