Mr. Layne Thornton's Obituary
Funeral Service for Layne Thornton, 54, of Lafayette, Alabama, will be Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Bro. David Floyd will officiate. Burial will follow in the Camp Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Layne passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at The University of Alabama Hospital Birmingham. He was born on April 23, 1964 in Waco, Texas to Maurice Thornton and Lillian Davis Thornton. Layne was devoted to his family and was always loyal to his friends. Layne was an active member of Marvyn Parkway Baptist Church. He enjoyed Alabama Football, coon hunting, and breaking/training horses.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Cindy L. Thornton and his daughter, Gracie Thornton both of LaFayette, Alabama; son, Timothy Thornton of Waco, Texas; mother, Lillian Jacoway (Reuben) of Valley Mills, Texas; and his sisters, Autumn Scott of Waxahatchee, Texas and Rachel Thornton of McKinney, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynsie Grace Thornton; his father and his beloved aunt, Mary Langley.
