Miss Mondine was a precious jewel. She always had her delicious home baked biscuits for breakfast when I stayed there while visiting Camille. Over the years, I still thought about her when I drove through Dadeville on my way to and from my Mama's. She provided a warm welcome when I'd stop unexpected back in the days before cell phones -- sometimes just to use her bathroom. Peace be with you and your family, Sweet Lady.
She was always so sweet to all the coaches. I remember when Coach Foshee and I went to Dadeville looking for me a car and went by her house. She treated me like family.
Some conversations and secrets can never be revealed, but Ms. Modine was quite a lady full of wisdom and spunk! She was a very good mother-in -law to me.
Such a sweet lady-- I will always remember that time at the Crain's when she came over to eat with us and Darryl and her talked for hours at the dinner table-- I don't even remember the conversation but that they talked like they had known each other for years. That was the kind of lady she was-- so welcoming and down the earth. She lived 96 years on earth and touched so many folks lives. Everyone is blessed having known her. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and I wish I could be there on Friday. Just know I am sending my hugs and prayers. Love you, Patty and Darryl Smith
