Mr. Lee "Goonie" Moran Lloyd's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Lee "Goonie" Moran Lloyd, 84, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 12:00 pm at the Eagle Creek Baptist Church. Pastor Wesley Price and Dr. Tim Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Eagle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Eagle Creek Baptist Church.
Lee passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024. He was born on January 1, 1940 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Otha Clifton Lloyd and Clemmie Lee Moran Lloyd. He was an active member of Eagle Creek Baptist Church and a founding member of Eagle Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Lee loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with all of them. He had a passion for gardening and his garden provided food for many people in the community. Lee loved hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Alabama football. Lee never met a stranger. He had a compassionate heart and was always looking to help the people of his community. Lee could always be seen riding on his side by side with his dog Skipper.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Abbett Lloyd; daughters, Donna (Joel) Padgett and Denean (Bryan) Patterson; son, Danny (Danita) Lloyd; grandchildren, Alison (Travis) Creel, Andrew (Kaitlin) Padgett, Jacob Patterson, Cody Patterson, and Cody (Lauren) Cheatham; great-grandchildren, Brody Creel, Carson Creel, Hardy Creel, Calvin Cheatham, and Henry Cheatham; and his best buddy and companion, fur baby Skipper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Irene Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eagle Creek Cemetery Fund, 7680 Horseshoe Bend Road, Dadeville, Alabama 36853.
