Creath passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024. He was born on March 23, 1951 in Alexander City, Alabama to Henry Vinson Davis and Doris Milam Davis.
Creath was a man that was known for his humor and quick wit. He was a graduate of Dadeville High School's Class of 1969 and attended Alexander City State Junior College.
In his professional life, Creath enjoyed building relationships and had a commitment to providing quality service which was evident in his career as a Stihl Chainsaw Dealer and an esteemed Insurance Agent for Liberty National Life. Later, he embarked on an entrepreneurial venture as a part owner of First Insurance of Roanoke, Alabama.
Creath's passions included fishing, hunting, tending to his garden and his love of the outdoors was rivaled only by his passion for Auburn Tigers Football. He also enjoyed arrowhead hunting and coin collecting. Whether riding a mower or using a leaf blower Creath could always be found helping others.
Above all, Creath cherished his family, which was the joy of his life, especially his grandchildren. He never missed an activity or event and was always there to spend time with them. Creath's presence-marked by humor and friendliness-will be greatly missed. As he embraced the simple pleasures in life, he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and simple kindness that will live on in all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Nick (Sherry) Davis; daughters, Haley (Chad) McKelvey and Holland (Nic) Porter; companion, Sharyn Marshall; grandchildren, Slade Davis, Cara Mae Davis, Davis McKelvey, Hank McKelvey, Hamp McKelvey, Isla Rose McKelvey, Greyson Porter, Camilla Porter, Finn Porter, and Whittman Porter; brothers, Byron (Doris) Davis, Larry (Jennifer) Davis, and Kevin (Cindy) Davis; and sister, Wylone Brewer.
