Mrs. Adell D. Gregg's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Adell D. Gregg, 90, of Buttston, Alabama, will be Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Fellowship Baptist Church. Rev. Davey Bunn and Michael Duck will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Fellowship Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gregg passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at her home. She was born on September 2, 1933 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Ray Duck and Mary Caldwell Duck. She loved her family dearly and adored spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Gregg was the secretary and a Sunday School teacher at Fellowship Baptist Church for over 30 years. She always supported the Buttston Volunteer Fire Department by serving as secretary and treasurer for many years as well. Mrs. Gregg enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and cooking. Her specialties were fried chicken, homemade biscuits, and gravy. Mrs. Gregg's secret to a full life was serving God and church, traveling/camping with her husband, drinking Diet Coke, and eating chocolate.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Ward (Kevin); son, Darryll Gregg (Bonnie); grandchildren, Stephanie Shurum, Christopher Ward (Nancy), Kyle Ward (Amanda), and Kayla Crouch (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Tyler Shurum (Ashley), Jacob Shurum (Bri), Chloie Crouch, Penelope Ward, Connor Crouch, and Preston Ward; great great-grandchildren, Abigail Shurum and Greyson Shurum; sister in law, Carol Walker; brother in law, Baron Gregg (Christine); and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Chester Lee Gregg; parents; and brothers, Clinton Duck, Bobby N. Duck, and J.R. Duck.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1731 Buttson Road, Dadeville, Alabama 36853.
