Mrs. Delores Carlisle's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Delores Carlisle, 93, of Jackson's Gap, Alabama, will be Friday, June 14, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Jackson's Gap Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Jackson's Gap Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carlisle passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 21, 1930 in Daviston, Alabama to Albert Jefferson McGhee and Abigail Mann McGhee. She was a member of Jackson's Gap Baptist Church where she was the Pianist for 26 years. Mrs. Carlisle loved her family dearly, especially her great-grandchildren. She graduated from the Birmingham Business College and was the Assistant Administrator Director for Wilders Nursing Home for years. Mrs. Carlisle and her husband, Ronnie quilted for others and sold quilts all over the United States. She also enjoyed baking cakes, growing blueberries, and embroidery.
She is survived by her sons, Leslie (Ginger) Carlisle and Todd Carlisle; grandchildren, David Carlisle, John Carlisle, Candy (Brady) Crocker, and Amara (Chris) Evans; great-grandchildren, George Carlisle, Nic Carlisle, Owen Carlisle, Rebecca Crocker, Kyle Crocker, Alice Crocker, Ace Evans, and Cannon Evans.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ronald Ford Carlisle; son, Jerome Carlisle; parents; and brother, William Kennon McGhee.
