Mrs. Edna R Sexton's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Edna R. Sexton, 77, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Union Church at Lake Martin. Pastor Ross Kilpatrick will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 10:30 am to 11:45 am at Union Church at Lake Martin.
Mrs. Sexton passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at her home. She was born on December 1, 1945 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Chester Nathaniel Bedford and Mary Ethel Walls Bedford. Edna loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren which she was lovingly known as "Nanny" to them and was looking forward to the birth of her newest great-grandchild. She loved God and was a very loyal member of Union Church at Lake Martin where she loved spending time with her church family and her Sunday School class.
Edna's greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. She loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play any type of sports. Edna loved her Alabama Crimson Tide and Atlanta Braves and rarely ever missed watching a game. She also had a passion for growing flowers and tending to all her flower beds.
She is survived by her son, Frankie Chaffin (Donna); daughters, Lisa Kelley and Kathy Freeman (Blaine); stepdaughter, Sheryl Mask; grandchildren, Nicholas Chaffin (Haley), Chase Chaffin (Jacey), Cody Harper (Kara), Dylan MacMillan, Sera Rogers (Johnathan), and Seth Freeman; great-grandchildren, Sophia MacMillan, Case, Coy and Collins Rogers, Madie and Kason Luster; sister, Annie Sue Roberson; her fur baby, Molly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Raymond Sexton; grandson, Kacy Lynn Harper; son in law, Glenn Kelley; parents; and sisters, Shirley Hamel, Gloria Cannon, and Gail Childers.
