Mrs. Evelyn Louise Henderson's Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn Louise Henderson, affectionately known as Evelyn, passed away on October 5, 2023, in Camp Hill, Alabama. Born on December 31, 1937, in Lafayette, Alabama to Homer Watkins and Rea Jordan Watkins. She was loved by her family and friends, had a friendly disposition, creative spirit, and loving heart.
Evelyn found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including watching Auburn Tigers Football and spending quality time with family and friends. Her enthusiastic support of Auburn Football was infectious, while her creative knack for painting and crafting brought charm to every occasion.
Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, William Ambrus Henderson, Jr.; son, Scott Henderson; daughter, Wanda Henderson; granddaughter, Elizabeth Henderson and sister, Jean Cole. Her vibrant spirit will be missed by all who had the pleasure of being in her company.
Evelyn was predeceased by her granddaughter, Samantha Nicole Greer; parents and sisters, Frances Fuller and Sue Howell.
Evelyn's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory remains alive in the many lives she touched. Her lasting legacy of love, creativity, and friendliness will forever be cherished.
The family and close friends will have a private celebration of life service at a later date.
