Mrs. Sheila Faye Holley's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Sheila Faye Holley, 71, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Union Church at Lake Martin. Pastor Ross Kilpatrick will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Union Church at Lake Martin.
Mrs. Holley passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at her home. She was born on October 1, 1952 in Tallassee, Alabama to Willard Openalia "Nal" Elkins and Wilma Carroll Elkins. She was an active member of Union Church at Lake Martin for many years. Sheila dedicated many years of service to the Walmart Distribution Center and embraced retirement with the same thoughtfulness she brought to every aspect of her life.
A beacon of love and caring, Sheila cherished the joys of family and was the heart of holiday gatherings, creating memories that will endure forever in the hearts of those who loved her. She found tranquility and delight amidst the serene beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains, which called to her adventurous spirit on many treasured trips.
Sheila also took pleasure in the simple delight of shopping, a pastime where her thoughtfulness shone brightly, often seeking out the perfect gifts to bring joy to friends and family. Her legacy of love, her unending generosity, and her considerate nature will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bobby Michael "Mike" Holley; sons, Troy (Cristy) Holley and Bobby (Carolee) Holley; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Sandra (Leon) Collum; and sisters-in-law, Brenda Carr and Myrna Elkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; great granddaughter, Kyleigh Little; brothers, Jack Elkins and Bill Elkins; and sister-in-law, Mary Elkins.
