She Married the "love of her life" John Thomas Walters Jr. on June 19, 1965 at Rosinton Road Baptist Church in Rosinton, Alabama. They would have been married for 59 years this year. She worked in the sewing mills in Camp Hill, AL then went to work in the sewing mill at Russell Mills in Alexander City, AL. She was able to work at The Russell Outlet Store where she retired. She was a member of the VFW POST 5566 where she was the secretary for the Ladies Auxiliary for years and loved everyone that came thru the doors. She worked hard but she loved even harder. She was the best friend a person could ever ask for and want. Jean was kind, sweet, smart, likable, help full, dependable, non-selfish, honest, trustworthy, and a great caregiver. She was talented with her crafts and sewing of cloths, loved to cook and most definitely loved her a good cold Coca-Cola and had to have a glass everywhere she went. Jean loved her family and her dogs and grand dogs but most of all she loved reading to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
MOMA WAS THE BEST MOMA AND BEST FRIEND ANYONE COULD EVER ASK FOR AND WE SURE WILL MISS HER DEARLY!! WE LOVE YOU MOMA!
