Funeral Service for Ms. Catherine "Cathy" V. Clark, 74, of Auburn, Alabama, will be Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 2:30 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Cummings will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
We celebrate the life and cherish the memories of Cathy who passed away peacefully on March 6, 2024, in Opelika, Alabama, at the age of 74. Born on December 27, 1949, in LaFayette, Alabama, Cathy's early years set the stage for a life filled with achievement and unwavering support for her beloved Auburn community.
A proud graduate of Camp Hill High School and Auburn University, Cathy dedicated 41 years of diligent service to Auburn University's Human Resources department. Her contributions there were marked not only by her intelligence and work ethic but also by her kind, selfless nature that made her an irreplaceable presence in the workplace.
Beyond her professional life, Cathy's heartbeat to the rhythm of Auburn sports. Known as the number one fan of Aubie, the university's mascot, her enthusiasm, and joy for the games were infectious. She nurtured her passion through an avid collection of Auburn memorabilia.
Cathy's legacy is lovingly remembered by a close-knit family: her brother, William Clark (Leslie) of Stone Mountain, Georgia; her nephews, Robert David Clark (Paulette) of Round Rock, Texas, and Glenn Clark of Pflugerville, Texas; along with a great-nephew, Truitt Clark, and a great-niece, Alyssa Clark.She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and Jack E. Clark.
Cathy's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit and love for life will continue to inspire all who were touched by her warmth and generosity.The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the staff of Arbor Springs Health and Rehab.
