Miss Patricia Anne Waters' Obituary
Funeral service for Miss Patricia Anne Waters, 57, of Auburn, will be Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Redmond will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jackson's Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Langley Funeral Home.
Miss Waters passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at East Alabama Medical Center. She was born on April 28, 1956 in Hartselle, Alabama to Robert Edward Waters and Joyce Walker Waters. She was an active member of Parkway Baptist Church. Miss Waters graduated from Auburn High School in 1974. She enjoyed playing the piano, gospel music, and teaching a community Bible Study class. She was a great supporter of Veterans and was recognized twice for her service to them. She worked as an administrator for assisted living facilities that were medical association award winners. She also worked at Alabama School for the Blind. Miss Waters loved her great-niece and great-nephew and was a champion for the elderly.
She is survived by her mother, Joyce Walker Waters of Auburn; brothers, Joe Waters (Vicky), of Dadeville and Leslie Waters of Tallassee; niece, Kristi Spraggins (Travis) of Notasulga; great-nephew, Branton Spraggins; great-niece, Kalyn Spraggins; aunts and uncles, Ray and Beverly Walker, Harland and Barbara Walker, Margaret and Billy Lester, and Gail Waters; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Edward Waters.
The family will accept flowers but prefers that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
