Pat was a dedicated and loving wife to Jim White for 62 years. Pat graduated as the 1955 Salutatorian of Bowdon High School, received a diploma in bank auditing, and worked as a bank auditor before retirement to Lake Martin. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Dadeville. For over 20 years, Pat served faithfully in various ministries through the church. She taught the 50 Plus Sunday School Class, later named the Pat White Sunday School Class with over 80 members, for over 20 years. A devoted W.M.U member, she coordinated the church food ministry and volunteered in local schools teacher appreciation events, gathering donated school supplies for students, and providing the local school teachers and police with home baked goods for appreciation days. Pat was famous for her delicious cheese straws, tea cakes, and chocolate cakes which she loved to serve others when they visited their home on Lake Martin. She loved to crochet and has made hundreds of crocheted Bible cross bookmarks, afghans, broches, children’s hats, and infant booties. Pat also has written many beautiful poems over the years that all speak of our Heavenly Father and share the Gospel. She was a loving wife, caring friend, generous giver, and a very special Aunt that has truly left us with a legacy of serving others and serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
