Mr. Robert Wayne Griffith's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Robert Wayne Griffith, 74, of Daviston, Alabama, will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Eagle Creek Baptist Church. Pastor Taylor Gurley and Bro. Britt Green will officiate. Burial will follow in the Eagle Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Eagle Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Griffith passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on June 14, 1947 in Columbus, Georgia to Robert Herman Griffith and Dorothy Mae Keeter Griffith. He was an active member of Eagle Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and a deacon. He served in the US Navy for 2 years and was very patriotic. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing and being a wilderness wonderer. He also loved his dogs and horses. Wayne loved working with his hands, building items for his family and friends. He loved family gatherings, spending time with his daughters and their families, and watching his grandchildren play sports.
He is survived by his daughters, Athina Ryals (Keith) of Eclectic and Cree Atkins (Scott) of Dadeville; grandsons, Seth Atkins of Dadeville and Levi Ryals of Eclectic; great granddaughter, Weslyn Boothe of Alabaster; and his siblings, Patsy Baker (Randy) of Smiths, Alan Griffith (Trenda) of Phenix City, Lisa Griggs (David) of Phenix City and Mike Griffith (Cyndi) of Salem.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Roxie Diane Griffith; granddaughter, Madeline Elizabeth Taylor; and grandson, Stephen Kyle Atkins.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be given to Eagle Creek Baptist Church; 7734 Horseshoe Bend Road, Dadeville, AL 36853.
