Mr. Robert Franklin Holdren Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Robert Franklin Holdren, Sr., 77, of Hanover, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born on October 19, 1939 in Cannelton, West Virginia to Frank Holdren and Eva Evans Holdren.
He was a member of Weogufka Family Worship Center and active member at First United Methodist Church of Hanover. Mr. Holdren was employed by Ford Michigan Wayne Truck Division for over 40 years, in supervision. A former resident of Merritt Island, FL and has been a resident of Hanover for 12 years. He was an active volunteer with the Volunteer Food Drop Program and C.O.A.C.H, a cancer outreach and community home program for the residents of Coosa County. Mr. Holdren's love for country living and the Alabama people were apparent in his daily living. Gone but not forgotten by all who knew him.
Mr. Holdren is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy K. Holdren of Hanover; son, Robert F. Holdren, Jr. (April) of Hanover; daughter, Robin Eva Lopez of Homestead, FL; grandsons, Robert Holdren, III and Eric Holdren; great-grandson, William Holdren; and sister, Lillian Goodson of Cannelton, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elvira Gifford; brothers, Earl Holdren, Virgil Holdren, and Clarence Holdren; and brother-in-law, Earnest Goodson.
