Mr. Robert Hill Wilder Jr's Obituary
Memorial Service for Mr. Robert Hill "Bob" Wilder, Jr., 74, of Dadeville, will be Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Bro. Justin Freeman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dadeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilder passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. He was born on March 7, 1950 to Robert Hill Wilder, Sr. and Lorene Winslett Wilder. He worked for many years at the Bank of Dadeville. After leaving the bank, he opened Dadeville Finance and ran it for several years before retiring. Bob loved to spend his free time playing golf. He also enjoyed cheering on his Auburn Tigers.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wilder of Dadeville; son, Drew (Carrie) Wilder of Alexander City; daughter, Lexie Wilder of Dadeville; sisters, Sheila Gulledge of Villa Rica, GA and Patricia Harris of Dadeville; brother, James F. (Gail) Wilder of Alexander City; and grandchildren, Granger Wilder and Winslett Wilder of Alexander City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
