Mr. Roy C. Pugh's Obituary
Funeral service for Mr. Roy C. Pugh, 88, of Dadeville, will be Monday, April 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Stephen King will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 1:00 pm until service time at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Pugh passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. He was born on May 28, 1926 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Hiram Hershel Pugh and Nettie Lou Lowe Pugh. He was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. Mr. Roy was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired from the Mt. Vernon Mill in Tallassee after 45 years of service. Mr. Pugh was a very talented, gifted and kind gentleman that was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He enjoyed gardening and working in his shop.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen Casaday Pugh of Dadeville; son, Calvin Rodney Pugh (Carol) of Tallassee; grandchild, Brandon Pugh of Tallassee; sister, Avis Knox Davis of Opelika; and niece, Donna Walker (Benji) of Auburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be given to the Sardis United Methodist Church, 11385 Highway 280, Dadeville, AL 36853.
