Mrs. Ruby Jean Peeples' Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Ruby Jean Peeples, 88, of Bainbridge, Georgia and formerly of Montgomery and Wetumpka, Alabama will be Friday, April 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Boulware will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Peeples passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 10, 1932 in Wedowee, Alabama to Garry David Wellborn and Florence Overa Mason Wellborn. Mrs. Peeples loved her family dearly. She graduated from Tennessee Temple University and obtained a nursing degree in California after returning from Africa, where she spent three years in the Mission Field. Mrs. Peeples moved to Montgomery where she met her husband, William Thomas Peeples and six months later they married on February 23, 1966. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Wetumpka.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Riche (Vincent); grandchildren, Chuck Cofty, III (Paige), Jesse Cofty (Caitlyn), Caleb Cofty, Julianna Cofty, Alexandria Riche, Dylan Cofty, Daniel Riche, Paul Riche, Kyle Riche (Amber), and Scott Riche; great-grandson, Hudson Charles Cofty; sister, Faye Burnham, and brother, Bill Wellborn (Leila).
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Peeples; parents; sisters, Malvie Shortnance and Dorothy Bailey, and brother, David Wellborn.
