Mrs. Sharon Loretta Turner, lovingly known as Bebo, was born on September 16, 1950, in Phenix City, Alabama, to Durward Wilson Burnett and Lora Bell Evers Burnett, and passed away on April 28, 2026, in Dadeville, Alabama, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and quiet strength that will continue to inspire everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. She was an active member of Eagle Creek Baptist Church.
Sharon lived her life with a heart that gave freely and a spirit that never quit. She was the kind of woman who understood that a life well lived is not measured by grand speeches, but by faithful service, steady love, and the daily choice to care for others. She carried herself with grace, and she met each season of life with determination, humility, and a deep trust in God. Her life was a testimony to what it means to be loving, selfless, and faith-filled.
She found joy in the simple and meaningful rhythms of life. Yard work gave her satisfaction because she believed in tending what had been planted. Cleaning house reflected her desire to create comfort, order, and peace for those around her. Spending time watching the kids play ball brought her delight because she loved being present for the moments that mattered. These were not just hobbies to Sharon, they were expressions of the care she poured into her home, her family, and the people she cherished most.
Sharon’s greatest pride was her family, and she loved them with a devotion that was unwavering. She is survived by her daughter, Casey Loretta Turner, and her son, Jackson Wade Turner and his wife, Stephanie. She was a proud grandmother to Matthew Wade Turner and his wife, Channing, Stephen Mark Turner, and Hillary Madison Corbin Davis and her husband, Coleman. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought joy to her heart, including Cooper Wade Turner, Macie Huff Turner, Wilks Stephen Turner, and Josie Elizabeth Davis. She is also survived by a special loved one, Tina Marie Gilliland. Each of them carries a part of her love, her laughter, and her example forward into the future.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Wade Turner, as well as her father, Durward Wilson Burnett, and her mother, Lora Bell Burnett. Though their earthly journeys have ended, the love they shared remains woven into the story of Sharon’s life. She honored her family by living with purpose and by reminding those around her that love is strongest when it is lived out consistently, day after day, through both words and actions.
As a Christian woman, Sharon’s faith was not something she simply spoke about. It was the foundation beneath her feet and the strength in her soul. She believed in God’s goodness, trusted in His promises, and lived in a way that reflected her confidence in eternal hope. Her life encouraged others to keep going, to keep believing, and to keep standing firm even when the road was difficult. She showed that faith is not only for the mountaintop moments, but also for the ordinary days when love must be chosen and hope must be held onto with both hands.
Those who knew Sharon will remember her as a woman who made life better simply by being in it. She had a way of making others feel cared for, seen, and valued. Her presence brought comfort, and her example brought encouragement. She lived with a servant’s heart and a fighter’s spirit, proving that true strength is often quiet, steady, and deeply rooted in love. She did not seek attention, but her life spoke volumes. She did not need applause, because her actions already told the story of a woman who gave her best to the people and places she loved.
Sharon Loretta Turner’s life reminds us that every day is an opportunity to love well, serve faithfully, and live with purpose. Her journey was marked by devotion, kindness, and resilience, and her memory will continue to inspire her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Though she has left this earthly life, the impact of her love remains. Her story is one of faith lived out loud, of strength wrapped in gentleness, and of a life that truly made a difference.
