Funeral service for Ms. Tanya Allen McAlister, 39, of Camp Hill, will be Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Allen and Rev. Wayne Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home. Ms. McAlister passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014 at University of Alabama Hospital. She was born on June 1, 1974 in Dadeville, Alabama to John Palmer Allen, Jr. and Sue Freeman Allen. She was an active member of County Line Baptist Church. Tanya graduated from Chambers Academy Class of 1992, Central Alabama Community College in Nursing, Southern Union Community College in Computer Science, and she graduated from San Angelo State University in Nursing and was currently attending school at San Angelo University to receive her CRNP. She worked as the School Nurse at Reeltown School. Tanya loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her nephew and niece. Ms. McAlister was loved by so many and was such an inspiration to them and many others.She is survived by her parents, John Palmer Allen, Jr. and Sue Freeman Allen of Camp Hill; sister, Taphne Nicole Nelson (Zach) of Camp Hill; nephew, Kent Nelson of Camp Hill; niece, Skylar Nelson of Camp Hill; grandparents, Evelyn Freeman of Dadeville and Palmer and Dorothy Allen of Camp Hill; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.She was preceded in death by her grandfather, William H.
