Mr. Thomas Chapman Yarbrough, Sr.
1944-2015
Funeral service for Mr. Thomas Chapman Yarbrough, Sr., 71, of Dadeville, will be Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Brandon Keel and Rev. Clyde Coker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Yarbrough, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Bethany House. He was born on February 20, 1944 in Alexander City, Alabama to Thomas Bail Yarbrough and Annie Maude Bowens Yarbrough. He was an active member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church. Mr. Chapman enjoyed going to church, singing, spending time with his family, watching his grandboys play sports, NASCAR, and was an avid Auburn fan.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janis Greer Yarbrough of Dadeville; children, Debbie Y. Floyd (Daniel) of Dadeville, Thomas C. Yarbrough, Jr. of Dadeville and Margo Nichole Yother (Troy) of Alexander City; grandsons, Tyler Floyd, Corbin Floyd, Sawyer Sapp and Nolan Bobo, all of Dadeville; sisters, Margaret Davis of Clanton, Sharon Tidwell (Mike) of Dadeville, Martha Bastion (Les) and Linda Hayes of Dadeville; brother-in-law, Steve Greer of Dadeville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, John Lowery Yarbrough and Paul Lynn Yarbrough.
