Mr. Tom Cambre's Obituary
A Memorial Service for Mr. Tom Cambre, 77, of Jacksons Gap, will be Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. David Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 1:00 pm until service time at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Cambre passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Russell Medical. He was born on February 5, 1940 in Jackson, Mississippi to Leonce Antonio Cambre and Veronica Grohoski Cambre. Tom grew up in Jackson, MS where he first developed his love of the outdoors. Tom enlisted with the Marine Reserves before going on to graduate from Mississippi State. Tom was a registered forester with the Alabama Forestry Commission for 26 years. Throughout his life he continued to enjoy fishing, hunting and conservation.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda Cambre of Jacksons Gap; his mother-in-law, Nettie Brooks of Montgomery; daughters Renee Cambre Couch (Montie) of Hampshire, TN, Kim Cambre Green (Shane) of Shelby, AL, Anna Cambre Morgan (Dave) of Nashville, TN and Kathryn Peacock of MS; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and brother, Leonce A. Cambre (Elizabeth) of Rolla, MO; and many loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
