Mr. Tom Meadows' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Tom Meadows, 71, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Rev. Clinton Branch, Shane Harris, and Rev. Freddie Senn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Meadows passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born on January 19, 1946 in Tallapoosa County to Willie Meadows and Vidie Peters Meadows. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He faithfully attended for fifty years, served as a deacon, and happily served in any other capacity needed for the Lord. Mr. Meadows served on the Board of Education of Tallapoosa County for 8 years. He loved the outdoors working with his cows and land and timber. He loved his family very much and believed in taking care of them and others.
He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Meadows Brown (Ronnie) of Equality; grandchildren, Will Meadows (Bailey), Isabella Miller, Ryleigh Meadows, and Yonna Hewitt; brothers, Robert Lee Meadows (Patricia) of Daviston and Joe Neil Meadows of Alexander City; and sisters, Mary Smith (Melvin) of Alexander City, Emma Sue Kizziah of New Site, and Laverne Parrott (Lamar) of New Site.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Branch Meadows; parents; and son, Ashley Meadows.
