Tyler Anthony Colvin, a vibrant young man known for his selfless nature and infectious humor, was born on September 12, 2004, in Alexander City, Alabama. He tragically left us too soon on September 29, 2023, due to an automobile accident. Tyler was a beacon of joy and friendship to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Tyler is survived by his father, Terry Colvin (Crystal) and his mother, Shelby Colvin. His siblings, Skylar Waldrep (Ashton), Taylor Parrish, Bradlee Sims, and Ronnie Tucker will always remember their brother fondly. His grandmother, Leeanne Watkins (James Jr.), and grandfather, Steve Colvin, cherished their time with Tyler. His aunts, Lakisha Jones (Deon) and Toni Colvin, uncles, Steve Colvin, Jr., and James Watkins (Kiani), and cousins, Madison Skipper (Kobe), Jacey Skipper, Brennon Holley, Nick Watkins, Zack Watkins, Danielle Pearson, Hannah Pearson, and Darrell Pearson, Jr., will greatly miss their vibrant cousin. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Luna Morgan, great-grandparents, Betty and Jerry Alexander, grandmother, Teresa Narr, and cousin, James Watkins IV.
Tyler graduated from Dadeville High School in the Class of 2023, where he was known for his prowess on the football field. As a Dadeville Tiger, his energy and spirit were infectious, inspiring his teammates and electrifying the crowd. After graduation, he worked as a dock hand at Singleton Marine, a job that complemented his love for Lake Martin and the outdoors.
Tyler was a young man who loved life and lived every day as if it were his last. He was always the life of the party, lighting up every room with his friendly demeanor and infectious humor. He loved being on Lake Martin, where he enjoyed boating and fishing, and he was known as a protector of his family, whom he loved deeply. His tough exterior was merely a front for his big, teddy bear heart. Tyler was a self-proclaimed "ladies man," but his true charm lay in his selfless nature. He always put others first and would do anything for anyone.
Tyler Anthony Colvin will always be remembered as a young man who lived his life to the fullest. His selfless, funny, and friendly personality will forever be missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched and the memories he leaves behind. Rest in peace, Tyler. Your spirit continues to inspire us all.
