Mr. William Maurice "Pop" Berry's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mr. William Maurice "Pop" Berry, 93, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Monday, January 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at Dadeville City Cemetery. Bro. Larry Cummings will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Berry passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at his residence. He was born on November 4, 1929 in Dadeville, Alabama to William Owen and Ruby Ray Berry. Mr. Berry loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He retired from Russell Corporation after over 40 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church Dadeville. Mr. Berry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, listening to Bluegrass music, and working.
He is survived by his daughters, Judy Daniel (Gary) of Alexander City, Alabama and Patty Hall (Jerry) of Dadeville, Alabama; grandchildren, Alan Daniel (Winter), Jimmy Daniel (Tiffany), Michael Daniel (Julie), Brad Daniel (Candace), Karen Stroup (Randy), Clay Claybrook (Alison), Wesley Claybrook (Lecia), Chris Hall and Jeremy Hall; 27 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Magdelene Berry; parents; sister, Alice Berry Davis and brother, Earl Berry.
