William Ambrus Henderson, Jr.'s Obituary
A Graveside Service to Celebrate the Life of Mr. William Ambrus Henderson, Jr., 90, of Camp Hill, will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Chaplain Mark Grizzard will officiate.
"Junior," as he was known by many, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 at his home. Born on May 11, 1933, he was the son of William Ambrus Henderson, Sr. and Mary Leila Underwood Henderson. Junior was a quiet but hardworking man who worked as a sewing machine mechanic for over 50 years. He married Evelyn Louise Monroe and they created over 60 years worth of memories. Those memories included raising their children and loving on their grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Paw Paw." When he was younger, Junior loved to go fishing and later enjoyed tending to his garden. He was an avid walker who believed that it was the "elixir for happiness and longevity in life." His loving and kind heart was his greatest quality which he showed to everyone he met.
He is survived by his son, Scott Henderson; daughter, Wanda Henderson; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Henderson and Samantha Nicole Greer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Louise Henderson; father, William Ambrus Henderson, Sr.; mother, Leila Henderson; brothers, Jesse Lee Henderson, Buford Henderson, Alton Henderson, Jack Henderson; and sister, Willie Lee Henderson.
