One of my favorite childhood memories is walking to Aunt Winnie's house from my Big Mama's or Granddaddy's house knowing that some of her famous biscuits would be waiting. The smell that greeted me as I walked in can only be described as heavenly. Aunt Winnie would always be smiling and would tell me to sit down and eat all I wanted. I never asked what her secret was to making such big, flaky, succulent biscuits, but I know LOVE had to be one of the main ingredients!
Aunt Winnie's infectious smile and loving warmth will be missed by her family and all who were fortunate to call her friend. I am thankful for her long life and all the time I was able to spend with her growing up.
