Mr. James E. (Bud) Hamby's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. James E. (Bud) Hamby, 81, of Jackson's Gap, Alabama, will be Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Langley Funeral Home. Rev. Tom Pemberton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dadeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.
Mr. Hamby passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 at his residence. He was born on July 1, 1936 in Deatsville, Alabama to Lucius Orlando Hamby and Lorene Estelle Pyron Hamby. Mr. Hamby was a certified Master Gardener.
He is survived by his wife, Prencella Hamby of Jackson's Gap; son, Steven Patterson; sisters, Carolyn Patterson, Shirley Blackwelder, June Wright (Terry); brothers, Edward Hamby (Betty), Larry Hamby (Kay), Terry Hamby (Linda), and Neal Hamby (Verna); and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bobbie Lashley; and brother, Jimmy Lynn Hamby.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 42040, Oklahoma, City, OK 73123-3000.
