Dr. Zenon Bednarski was a real role model for doctors. He always tried to understand his patients, his diagnosis was what was the best for the patient rather than to make money. I am proud to be his friend. We spent hours talking about politics, Poland, life and family. He told me about his scuba diving excursions, I still have his underwater films with sharks. He loved soccer and he cheered for the Polish team with Lewandowski. He wanted to visit Poland, homeland of his parents, and I planned to organize a tour for him. He will be missed by his patients. Dr. B took excellent care of me for over 9 yrs. Being a retired Nurse , I felt his personal attention to his patient was above & beyond. He took time to listen & evaluate each situation. I have moved but still return to Auburn & just learned of his passing when I called the Clinic re coming in to see him. My Sincere Condolences to his Family at this difficult time. Dr. B was the best physician I met in Auburn. He always listened and cared. He was an old school doctor that wanted to help people, not bill them and make millions. I enjoyed his care and trusted him.

He is next to impossible to replace and wish his family and friends peace.

I remember a beautiful night dive Zenon and I experienced years ago with several under water photographers off the coast of Kona where a magnificent shark emerged from the from the deep darkness illuminated solely by camera strobe lights. This was a privileged humbling experience.
Thank you, John, for contacting me, and opening the door for you to enter my heart. I know this is an extremely difficult time for you, and I also know the emotional sorrow you are enduring since I lost my sweet mother (Agnes/Ania), your Polish grandmother, to COVID February 16, 2020.

Dr. B was our family physician. My husband, two boys and myself absolutely adored/loved him. If I was missing a son at the office, I would find him in the office with Dr. B watching soccer and having a deep discussion about which team was going to win. The Al-Riyami family will miss him dearly. Adam and Zain were his second favorite soccer players behind his son. Zenon was extremely proud of both his children. If he wasn't watching or talking about soccer, he was exchanging boastful stories with us about kids. He was not just a doctor. He was family.
